Black Walnut Pen and Pencil | Regal Collection

This black walnut pen and pencil set was turned from the wood of a local tree that had reached the end of its life. We were very pleased to get our hands on some cuts of the old stock.

The figured wood has an eye-catching depth and array of colors. It is dark for sure (it’s black walnut, after all), but the grain has subtle regions of copper and even reddish-gold. The end result is a handsome desk set that you simply cannot replicate with synthetic materials.

The matching pen and pencil are part of our Regal Collection, built around a cigar-style kit in chrome. They are wonderfully sturdy writing instruments and will appeal to those who prefer a heftier writing tool. A glossy, crystal clear finish shows off the natural wood grain.

The pen includes a smooth-writing Parker style ink refill in black or blue…your choice! The pencil uses .9mm lead. A twist exposes the ballpoint pen tip or the pencil lead.
