This handmade pen and pencil set was turned from the oak of reclaimed wine barrels. The wood came to us from a local California winery, where for years it nurtured and imparted flavor to the aging wine. When the winery retired a batch of barrels, we were thrilled to get our hands on some of the staves. Sawdust never smelled so good!
The matching pen and pencil are part of our Regal Collection. They are built around a cigar-style kit in chrome with black highlights. They are wonderfully sturdy writing instruments, due to the density of the oak, and will appeal to those who prefer a heftier writing tool. A glossy, crystal clear finish shows off the natural wood grain. A twist exposes the ballpoint pen tip or the pencil lead.
