A handmade wooden pen turned from buckeye burl. This incredible wood features swirls of grey, tan, and black. The colors and patterns in this batch of material are simply eye-catching, and every pen is unique.
Because the raw wood is light and fragile, we stabilize the wood before turning: This process involves extracting air from the material under vacuum, then filling the microscopic air pockets with resin. The wood is hardened in an oven, producing a denser material that is resistant to cracking and warping. It is a time consuming and expensive process, but we could not work this wood without it.
The pen is part of our Executive Collection, featuring chrome hardware with black highlights. A twist exposes and retracts the ballpoint tip. The pen uses smooth writing Parker-style ink refills. Please specify black or blue ink when ordering…your choice! Replacements are available in our store.
